About me

Hi, I’m Kal,
I’m a licensed mental health counselor associate (LMHCA) based in Washington State, offering virtual therapy for adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, substance use, burnout, and life transitions.
My clients are often people who have been holding it together for a long time, showing up for work, family, or others while quietly carrying stress, pain, or questions they haven’t had time to unpack.
How I Work
My approach is collaborative, grounded, and culturally responsive. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. I draw from evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. But more importantly, I tailor each session to what works for you. Your pace, your values, and what you need from therapy right now.
I offer a space that feels steady and supportive, where you're encouraged to be honest without pressure and to process without judgment. My hope is to help you find clarity, build coping tools, and move forward with more confidence and self-trust.
My Background
I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. I’ve worked in outpatient addiction counseling, mental health clinics, and team-based environments that allowed me to see the many ways stress, cultural expectations, and life transitions impact our emotional well-being.
Having moved to the U.S. in my early 20s, I understand what it means to navigate different cultural identities and expectations. That experience has shaped my ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and support them through major transitions — whether personal, professional, or cultural.
Outside the Therapy Room
When I’m not in session, you can find me reading, exploring new ideas, or working with other professionals to build spaces that support mental wellness and authentic connection. I believe therapy should be accessible, flexible, and rooted in real life, and that’s what I aim to offer every person I work with.
